Charles R. "Chuck" Ruhe

CHARLES R. “CHUCK” RUHE age 90, of West Mifflin, on January 28, 2017, at home. He was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Denne) Ruhe. He was a retired contract negotiator for Westinghouse. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne where he was an usher. He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of the Duquesne-West Mifflin Knights of Columbus #4210, where he was a Past Grand Knight and was a member of the North Hills Historical Auto Club. Beloved husband of the late Jean (Sable) Ruhe; father of Linda Ruhe of Vero Beach, FL, Yvonne Blair and her husband, Dave of Jefferson Hills, Janet Kaufman and her husband, Scott of Upper St. Clair and the late Charles A. Ruhe; grandfather of Justin (Liz) Blair, Vanessa (Bill) Flower, Jordan (Lisa) Blair, Christopher Kaufman and Kellie Kaufman; great-grandfather of Nathan Blair, Raegan Blair and Clara Flower; predeceased by sisters and their husbands, Agnes (Steve) Kosko, Rosella (Dr. Andrew) Petrillo, Celeste (Frank) Matyko, Ruth (George) Vamos; also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 2-5 p.m., and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY - SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300. Blessing Service on Friday in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Burial will be with military honors in the parish cemetery.
