David L. Budai Sr., 70, of Zephyrhills, Fla., formerly of West Mifflin, died Thursday, April 7, 2016, at his residence in Florida. He was born Sept. 9, 1945, in Duquesne, a son of the late Alex and Mary (Zupa) Budai. He was a retired craneman at U.S. Steel - Edgar Thompson Works. A former member of Christ the Light of the World Parish in Duquesne, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was the beloved husband for 52 years of Catherine (Conroy) Budai; father of David (Carol) Budai Jr., of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Dean Budai, of Zephyrhills, Fla.; grandfather of David James Budai, Daniel Budai and Nathan Budai; and brother of Christine (Mike) Tkacs, of Scottdale, and the late William Budai, Robert Budai and Barbara Haroulakis.
Memorial visitation from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director, where a memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski. Interment in Holy Name Cemetery, West Mifflin.
