Duane W. "Pie" Carman, 35, of Duquesne, died Monday, May 11, 2015, at UPMC McKeesport. He was born June 20, 1979, in McKeesport, a son of Duane Carman and Mary (Hamilton) Carman, of Duquesne. He was a roofer for Bill Spell Roofing. A member of Christ Lutheran Church in Duquesne, he enjoyed country music concerts, also baseball, hockey and football. He was the father of Emily Carman and Duane Carman Jr., of Duquesne; brother of Jennifer (Jim) Schweitzer, of Duquesne, Rebecca Carman, of McKeesport, Ashley Carman, of Clairton, Lois Carman, of McKeesport, and Derek Carman, of McKeesport; and grandson of Donald (late Mary Lou) Hamilton, of Duquesne, and the late William and Eleanor Carman. He was also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2015, at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director, where a funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2015, with Pastor John Gropp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
