Evon Momeyer, 89, formerly of Duquesne and West Mifflin, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at Jefferson Hills Manor, Jefferson Hills. She was born Feb. 12, 1926, in Morgantown, W.Va., to the late Stephen and Margaret (Planka) Obuch. She had worked at Kennywood Park in the photo department and was a former aide for the Duquesne School District. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Momeyer; mother of the late George (surviving spouse Lynn) Yankura, of North Huntingdon, Loretta (Donald) Fait, of Belle Vernon, Sandra (late Eugene) Boyd, of Manasas, Va., Donna (William) Lentz, of Jefferson Hills, Robert (Amy) Momeyer, of McMurray, and the late George (surviving spouse, Lynn) Yankura. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Mary Coulter, Sophie Lacotis, Ann Fisher, Helen Tomovcsik, James Obuch and John Obuch.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 2015, at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, Supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, Funeral Director. Blessing service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating. Interment in Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles.
