Irene Klacik

Irene Klacik, 87, of West Mifflin, died Saturday, May 16, 2015, in UPMC McKeesport. Born Oct. 27, 1927, in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Oreste and Filomena (Forensi) Pettenari. She was a former member of St. Agnes Church, West Mifflin. She was a former teacher's aide at Good Shepherd Grade School in Braddock. She was the wife of the late George Klacik; mother of Maureen (Cliff Knecht) Klacik, of Pittsburgh, and the late Paul G. Klacik; and sister of Lena Pettenari, of Beaver County, the late Enis (surviving spouse, Salvatore) Teti, of Christy Park, and the late Mary and Oreste Pettenari. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. Blessing service will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 21, in the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Name Church of Christ the Light of the World Parish with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski as celebrant. Interment in Round Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Way
