James W. Jessup

James W. Jessup, 74, of Duquesne, died Friday, June 3, 2016, at the home of his daughter in Blairsville. He was born July 17, 1941, in Braddock, a son of the late Emmitt and Violet (Scott) Jessup. He was a retired salesman from Courtesy Oldsmobile in Irwin. He is the father of Lisa (Dwayne) Burd, of Blairsville, and the late James E. Jessup; grandfather of Stephanie (Barren) McElroy, Travis Latshaw, Kayla Jessup and Heather Jessup; great-grandfather of Alexis, Brennen and Chase Smeltz; brother of Alice (late James) Droznek, of Duquesne, George (Joyce) Jessup, of Liberty Borough, and the late Emmitt (surviving spouse, Betty) Jessup Jr. and the late Robert (surviving spouse, Margaret) Jessup; former spouse of Dona Jessup; also survived by his longtime companion, Dolores Colwell, of Manor; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2016, at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Don Hezlep. Interment in Monongahela Cemetery, North Braddock.
