James McAllen age 92, of Penn Hills, formerly of Duquesne, on March 19, 2017, at Southwestern Veterans Center. He was a son of the late Archibald and Stella (Shoop) McAllen. Jim was retired from US Steel Duquesne Works as a crane operator. He proudly served his country in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the VFW, Ft. Louden, PA and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, Steelers, Pirates and Pitt Football. Husband of 65 years to the late Marie E. (Jugan) McAllen; father of James Robert (Donna) McAllen of Baltimore, MD, Marcie Marie McAllen of Duquesne, Janet S. Harris of Duquesne and Duane (Kimberly) McAllen of Penn Hills; grandfather of Darren and Dana McAllen, Todd McAllen, Keith Harris, Chad Harris, Penelope, Duane S. and Scott McAllen; also five great- grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Stevenson, Anna Ottavian, John McAllen, Fred McAllen, Sara Almose, Margretta Robey; also survived by nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation or services. A private burial will take place in Dry Run, PA.
