James R. Moore, 69, of Pulaski Township, formerly of West Mifflin, died Thursday, Jan 14, 2016, at UPMC Passavant, McCandless. He was born June 7, 1946, in Pittsburgh. Jim was retired from Pittsburgh School District as the manager of the trucking department. He attended St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was the husband of the late Rose Marie (Bach) Moore; father of James E. Moore, Billy Ray (Addie) Moore, of Pulaski Township, Scott A. (Cathy) Moore, of North Versailles, and Tina Marie Moore, of West Mifflin; and grandfather of Amanda, James, Carissa, Jacob, Nicholas, Samuel, William, Rosie and Xavier.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2016, in the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, Supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, Funeral Director. Blessing service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.
