James C. Remas, 56, of Duquesne, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at home. He was born June 12, 1959, in McKeesport, a son of the late James and Helen (Hlatt) Remas and attended St. Joseph Church, Duquesne. He proudly served his country in the Army. He was the brother of Donna (Michael) Adams, of Baden; uncle of Jamie (Jon) Philippou, of Baden; great-uncle of Talia Annmarie Philippou and uncle of the late, Mick Adams; companion of Cynthia Caligiuri, of Duquesne; also survived by cousins.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016, in MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. Blessing service will follow at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating.
