Joelle (Kirch) Preksta

Joelle (Kirch) Preksta, 49, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of West Mifflin, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at home. She was born Dec. 27, 1965, in McKeesport, to Joseph and Cecelia "Tillie" (Gmutza) Kirch, of West Mifflin. She was employed at United States Steel as director of global compensation. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin. She enjoyed European travel, cooking, wine tasting and golf. She had a Masters of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Liberal Studies, both from Duquesne University. She was the beloved wife of 22 years to Robert A. Preksta; stepmother of Courtney B. Preksta, of Munhall, and Christopher (Ashley) Preksta, of Baldwin; grandmother of Jane and Catherine Preksta; sister of Terry Kirch, Huntingdon Beach, Calif., and Dianne (Douglas) Baxter, of Bethel Park; sister-in-law of Arlene (Larry) Stevenson, of Library, and Alberta (Rick) McClelland, of Xenia, Ohio; aunt of Brittani Baxter and Kelsi Baxter; also survived by aunts and uncles. 
Visitation from 9:30 till 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, Supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, Funeral Director, where a blessing service will be held at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at Holy Trinity Church with the Rev. Nick Mastrangelo officiating. Interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin.
