Lillian Elizabeth (Wohl) Staymates

Lillian Elizabeth (Wohl) Staymates, of Duquesne, went to be with her heavenly father on Sunday, June 26, 2016, at St. Ann's Home in Grand Rapids, Mich. Lillian loved her hometown of Duquesne and her parish. She met her husband, Floyd, while working at "The Famous" Department Store in McKeesport. She devoted her whole heart to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Manns) Wohl, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester Floyd Staymates; son, David Staymates; and brother, Frank "Bud" (surviving spouse, Carolyn) Wohl, of King City, Ore. She is survived by her son, Mark (Darlene) Staymates, of Pittsburgh; daughter, Faith (Robert) Marko, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; grandchildren, Jonathan, Joshua (Sarah) and Hannah Marko; great-granddaughter, Liliana Marko (her namesake); sister, Alberta (late George) Long, of Greensburg; also many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Guild, a volunteer at the former St. Joseph Library and a member of the Church Cleaning Volunteers. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the very special staff at St. Ann's Home and Emanuel Hospice for their loving and compassionate care. Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2016, at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. A blessing service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 1, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.
