Linus E. "Len" Olack, 72, of West Mifflin, died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 27, 1944, in Homestead, son of the late Michael and Helen (Jatko) Olack. He was a retired postal clerk, McKeesport Post Office. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, member of Teutonia Mannerchor Club and American Croatian Club, both in Duquesne. He loved fishing, going to casinos, the Steelers, but most especially his grandchildren. He was also a member of Pymatuning Eagles, Aerie 4035. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Kathy A. (DeCicco) Olack; father of Brian (Jennifer) Olack, of Scottdale, and Dean (Amy) Olack, of Martinsburg, W. Va.; grandfather of Vaylee and Lexza Olack, and is also survived by his grandog, Maggie Mae; brother of Daniel (late Mary Ann) Olack, of West Mifflin, Michael (Elisa) Olack, of Las Vegas, Nev., and the late Francis (late Helen) Olack and late Alrena Nama; and is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. Blessing service will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum, Pittsburgh, with military honors.
