Loretta Ann (Repcik) Sabolcik, 85, formerly of Duquesne, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, at Mt. Vernon of South Park. Born Dec. 12, 1930, in Braddock, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Elizabeth (Straka) Repcik. Loretta was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish (the former Holy Name Parish) in Duquesne. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Theodore G. "Ted" Sabolcik, who died Jan. 29, 2011. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Repcik; and her brothers, Vincent and John Repcik. Loretta is survived by her children, Eugene (Mishelle) Sabolcik, of Holland, Mich., Suzanne (Norman) Cable, of Brimfield, Ohio, James (Eileen) Sabolcik, of Kingwood, Texas, Mark (Carolyn) Sabolcik, of Erie, Rich (Denise) Sabolcik, of South Park, and Ross (Jennifer) Sabolcik, of Austin, Texas. She was the grandmother of Eva, Natasha, Lauren, Matthew, Michael, Kathryn, Adam, Haley, Alex and Owen. She was sister-in-law to Elmer (the late Liz) Sabolcik; and aunt to William, Teresa, Lisa and the late Stephen, John and Paul and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. Blessing service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at noon in Holy Name Church of Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne, with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
Loretta's children would especially like to thank their brother, Rich, and his wife, Denise, for all the care and support they provided Mom since Dad's death. We appreciate all that you did. The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Mt. Vernon of South Park and 365 Hospice for the care and comfort they provided. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
