Michael R. Horgos Sr. age 73, of West Mifflin, on October 7, 2016. He was a son of the late Michael J. and Helen (Takac) Horgos. He was retired from production planning at US Steel Homestead Works and a retired tipstaff from Allegheny County Courts. He was a member of St. Agnes Church West Mifflin where he served as an usher. He enjoyed oldies music, the Pirates and the Steelers, but mostly he enjoyed the joys of his life, his grandchildren by spoiling them with Oreo Cookies. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. Beloved husband of 45 years to Rita B. (Chonko) Horgos; father of Michelle (Ryan) Snyder of Adams Twp. and Michael R. Horgos of West Mifflin; grandfather of Joshua M. and Ashley F. Snyder; brother of Judge Robert P. Horgos of Sewickley and Eugene (Elaine) Horgos of Wilmington, DE. Visitation on Monday, October 10, 2016, from 2-8 p.m. at the MALOY - SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at St. Agnes Church at 10 a.m. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH, Rev. Dan Sweeney, officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Munhall, with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
