Robert J. Mclntyre

Robert J. McIntyre Sr., 71, of West Mifflin, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at home, surrounded by his family. He was born Feb. 1, 1945, a son of the late Gordon and Elizabeth (Pavlo) McIntyre. He was a journeyman machinist for U.S. Steel and Trinity Industries. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to his cabin at Kinzua Dam. He belonged to the LAW Motorcycle Club, which does charitable works such as runs for Toys for Tots and cancer, etc. He was the husband of the late Katherine "Kitty" (Shanley) McIntyre; father of Katherine (Scott) Rabich, of North Huntingdon, Patricia (Carmine) Laughlin, of Pittsburgh, Robert J. (Michele) McIntyre Jr., of Monroeville, Linda (Jason Godek) McIntyre, of West Mifflin, and the late Sean McIntyre; fiance of Dale Cipollini, of Sewickley; grandfather of Sandy and Julia Rabich, Joey, Carmine and Nicole Laughlin, Sara and Skye McIntyre, Alicia and William Borowski, Kellie McIntyre and the late Kelsey Rabich; great-grandfather of Jerald and Jack Berger and Isabella Borowski; his dog, Bear McIntyre; brother of Geraldine (late Rich) Morgan, of Florida, Gordon (Penny) McIntyre, of Florida, Justine Watson, of Glassport, Sharon McIntyre, of Glassport, and the late David, the late Edward, the late Mark and the late Rosie McIntyre. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, and Sunday, Sept. 25, at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Owsten. Interment in Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
