William H. "Bill" Lentz III, 68, of South Park, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2016. He was a retired sales engineer. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Hungary Church, Pleasant Hills. He was a former member of the choir and their pastoral council. He enjoyed fishing, bicycling and boating. He proudly served his country as a Marine during the Vietnam War. He was the beloved husband for 20 years to Donna (Momeyer) Lentz; father of William (Marcie) Lentz IV and Maria (Chris) Maroni-Wood, both of South Carolina, Scott (Tracy) Hobby, of Monroeville, Susan (late Tim) McClelland, of West Mifflin, and Jennifer (Doug) Pascoe, of Jefferson Hills; grandfather of Christian and Juliet Maroni, Joey and Tyler Lentz, Haley and Jenna Husfelt, Garret Pascoe, Ashley Dixon, Brianna Hobby and Julie McClelland; also two great-grandchildren; and brother of Rob (Sandra) Lentz, of Boiling Springs, and Kathleen Lentz, of Newville. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Name Church of Christ the Light of the World Parish. Burial with military honors will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ALS Research.
