Amy Sabo Obituary

Amy A. Sabo, age 68, of Penn Twp., formerly of Duquesne, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at UPMC Shadyside. Born in McKeesport on April 30, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Michael “Bricky” and Helen (Roman) Anastas. Amy was a registered nurse from UPMC Braddock and currently Select Speciality Care-McKeesport, a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Nursing School with a BSN, and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Name Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She is the beloved wife of Stephan A. Sabo for 45 years; mother of Abby DeRiggi of Penn Twp. and Adam Sabo of Penn Twp.; grandmother of Aiden DeRiggi, Sydney DeRiggi and Jacob DeRiggi; sister of Diane (David) Murray of Penn Twp. and Michael Anastas of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022, from 2-8 P.M. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Michael Conway, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to “Angels of Allegheny.”
