Andrew R. “Drew” Bickus, age 52, formerly of Duquesne, passed away on August 18, 2021. Born in McKeesport on September 27, 1968, he was the son of the late Ronald & Leslie Bickus, late Arnold & Henrietta “Etta Gail” (Wurzbacher) Bickus Sopko & Gerri (Soffa) Sopko. He was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church-Duquesne, enjoyed cooking, dancing and the Steelers, played rugby and owned his own construction business. He is survived by his former wife, Beverly Smerkol; father of Daryl Hannah Kmiec of McHenry, IL and Olivia Faye Bickus of West Mifflin; brother of Tammy (late Tim) Chonko of Duquesne, Ronda (Mitchell) Brourman of Edgewood, Gregg (Lisa) Bickus of Lockport, IL, Justin (Michele) Bickus of Chicago, IL, Erin (Matthew) Stevenson of Chicago, IL and the late Joetta R. Sharp; and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at Christ Lutheran Church, Duquesne, with Pastor John Gropp officiating.
