Charlene R. Urda, age 85, of North Braddock, passed away on July 18, 2022, at Walden’s View of North Huntingdon. Daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Catherine (Baker) Mikolaczyk, she was born in Braddock on January 26, 1937. Charlene was a supervisor at Dipcraft Manufacturing Co., a member of Good Shepherd Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Good Shepherd Women’s Guild and Ladies of Charity. She was the wife of the late George Urda; mother of Renee N. (David) Janov of North Huntingdon, Deborah J. (late Stanley) Wood of Louisville, KY, Cynthia J. (Thomas) Connelly of Forest Hills and Jacqueline A. (Donald) Redinger of Castle Shannon; grandmother of Amanda Janov, Dana (Ed) Dowd, Danielle (fiancé Matthew Clary) Redinger, Zachary Connelly, Donnie Redinger, Andrew Connelly and Jason Redinger; great grandmother of Ava Dowd, Maks Dowd, Lily Dowd, Crimsyn Clary and late Alessia Clary; sister of Donna Blum of Santa Rosa, CA, late Stanley Mikolaczyk and late Sandra (husband Robert survives) Skendrovich. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where a private family Blessing Service will take place on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., with Deacon Herb Riley, officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
