Daniel L. Piskor

Daniel L. Piskor, age 79, of West Mifflin, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023 (St. Patrick’s Day), at home, in the presence of and surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Duquesne on September 9, 1943, he was the son of the late Stephen T. & Sylvia (Zavonovich) Piskor. He was employed at U.S. Steel-Duquesne Works, in the Primary Mill, Builders Square, and Shop and Save, in Century Square, as the Dairy Manager. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Name Church and the A.A.R.P. Chapter # 3172, at the Thompson Run Club and enjoyed bowling and going to the casino.  Daniel was the husband of 58 years to Darlene (Bacik) Piskor; father of Dan (Sue) Piskor of Springfield, VA and Dean (Susan) Piskor of Mechanicsburg, PA; grandfather of Diana (Jake) Glaser of Centerville, VA; and brother of Stephen (Barb) Piskor of Fox Chapel. There will be no visitation or services at this time. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. “Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.
