Deborah A. "Debbie" Ackerman

Deborah A. “Debbie” Ackerman, age 56, former resident of the Allegheny Valley School, Coraopolis, passed away on January 25, 2021, at Manor Care, Monroeville. She was born on September 12, 1964 in McKeesport, PA. Debbie participated every summer in the Special Olympics. She is survived by her mother, Joanne (Spornak) (Ackerman) Yarnall and Jay Yarnall of White Oak and her father, Dale Ackerman of North Huntingdon; sisters, Michelle (Robert, “R.C”) Painter of Manor, PA and Kimberly Chuberko of Irwin; and nephews, Christopher Fry, Michael Fry, Alex Fry and Peter Chuberko. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, where a funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Everyone please meet at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. where her burial will take place.
