Eleanor M. Monaghan

Eleanor M. Monaghan, age 87, of Duquesne, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian. Born in Linesville, PA on September 3, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Salter) Ballas. She was a former clerk at Hills and Ames Department Stores in West Mifflin and contributed to numerous Church missions. Eleanor was the wife of the late William G. Monaghan; mother of Lynn Monaghan of Vandergrift and the late Gregory Monaghan; grandmother of Alissa (Ben) Caparelli of Mt. Washington, Stephen (fiance, Crystal Layhue) Monaghan of Mt. Pleasant, and Kaci (fiancé, Charles “Bud” Layhue) Monaghan of Vandergrift; great grandmother of Ryan, Ry-Leigh, Stephen Jr., Gabriela, Abbigail, and Payeton. She was the last surviving member of her brothers and sisters. There will be no visitation.
