Florence N. (Pyers) Barr

Florence N. (Pyers) Barr age 95, formerly of West Mifflin, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020. Born in West Mifflin on October 16, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Laura (Lindemeyer) Pyers. She was a homemaker and also worked in the family masonry business, a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Name Church, was the first baby baptized at St. Therese Church and was active with the Emerson’s Club. She was the beloved wife of 66 years to the late Ralph P. Barr, Sr.; mother of Laura (late Harry) Softley of Canada, Ralph P. Barr, Jr. of Miramar, FL, and Colleen B. (Richard) Bogovich of Allison Park; grandmother of Barry (Brittany) Bogovich, Bonnie (Jim) Newsome, Brian Bogovich, Kathleen Softley, Kevin Softley; one great grandchild; and sister of the late William C. Pyers. There is no visitation.  A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Name Church, Duquesne, at a future date. The MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B.
