Florence E. “Flo” Husfelt, age 85, of West Mifflin, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021,at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born in Duquesne on July 8, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria (Tkacik) Brecko. Flo was a retired administrative assistant from Carnegie Mellon University. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Trinity Church, she loved her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed going to church and card games. She was the wife of the late Leonard Malinowski; mother of Mark (Kim) Malinowski Sr. of West Mifflin, late Mary Lisa (husband John survives) Holzwarth of West Mifflin, Leonard Malinowski of White Oak, and Robert (Meghan) Husfelt of Pleasant Hills; grandmother of Mark (Jessica) Malinowski Jr., Ashley Malinowski, Patrick and Shannon, Anthony (Michele) Holzwarth, Vanessa Malinowski, Valerie Malinowski, Victoria Malinowski, Haley Husfelt, Jenna Husfelt and Monica; great grandmother of Angelina Malinowski, Caleb Malinowski, McKenna Holzwarth and Zander Holzwarth; sister of Elizabeth “Betty” (late Regis) Hock of West Mifflin, late Joseph (wife Kathleen survives) Brecko of Duquesne and late John “Jim” Brecko. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, October 22, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where a Blessing will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity Church, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Dan Sweeney, officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
