Glen E. "Mr. Duquesne" Smith Sr.

Glen E. “Mr. Duquesne” Smith Sr., age 65, of Duquesne, Sunrise-September 2, 1956-Sunset, October 8, 2021. Born in Duquesne, he was the son of the late Meredith and Jessie (Grace) Smith. Glen worked as a custodian for the Duquesne School District, was a cement finisher for Ben’s Constructions, worked as a groundskeeper at Kennywood and retired from McDonald’s in the maintenance department. He was a member of Payne Chapel in Duquesne. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Freeman) Smith of Duquesne; children, Daniel Hamilton of New Kensington, Glen Hamilton of West Mifflin, Olive (Scott) Hamilton of Duquesne, Kevin Hamilton of Penn Hills, Crystal Smith of Duquesne, Derrick Hamilton of Pittsburgh, Amanda Hamilton of Duquesne, Glen E. Smith Jr. of Duquesne, Donald Smith of Duquesne, and Ella Smith of Pittsburgh; 40 Grandchildren; many Great Grandchildren; Brothers and Sisters, Dolores (late Bobby) Charles of East McKeesport, Icy Smith of McKeesport, Vernon (Trish) Smith of Turtle Creek, Jessie Smith of Basley, South Carolina, late Donald “Chuck” Pirl, late Olive Smith, late Meredith Smith, late William Smith, late John Smith and late Kenneth Smith; and special thank you to his lifelong friend, Adrian Dunston. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 10 a.m.- 12 Noon, at the Macedonia Baptist Church, 17 Cochran St., Duquesne, at which time a funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, with the Rev.
