Obituary

James P. “Jimmy” Maxwell, age 76, of West Mifflin, passed away on May 9, 2021, at home. Born in Homestead on May 8, 1945, he was the son of the late Perry and Lillian (Kennedy) Maxwell. He was a retired machinist from U.S. Steel-Homestead Works, a member of Homeville Christian Church, Pitcairn-Monroeville Sportsman Club and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jimmy was the beloved husband of 55 years to Mary Lou (Downie) Maxwell; father of Gina Maxwell Caito of West Mifflin and Robin (Vanessa Suncine) Maxwell of West Mifflin; grandfather of Tomilyn (Jamie Miller) Caito, Roman (Jenn) Caito, and Taylor (Jason) McCall; great grandfather of Owyn Miller, Landon Caito, Sienna Caito, and Carmine Caito; brother of Cheryl (Dan) Wehrer of West Mifflin and Kim (Mike) McElroy of West Mifflin. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 12-5:30 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE,  15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where Funeral Services will be held at 5:30 p.m., with Rev. Donald Brookshire officiating.
