Jean M. Tomko, age 96, of West Mifflin, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in Jefferson Hospital. Born in Duquesne on February 10, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Palmer and Sadie (Douglas) Morgan, She was a member of the former Grace United Church of Christ and she and her husband taught ballroom dancing.
Jean was the wife of the late Edward A. Tomko; mother of Dean (late Catherine “Cathy”) Tomko of West Mifflin, David (Jan) Tomko of Bloomfield, New Mexico, and late Dawn (late Jack Buchleitner) Tomko; grandmother of Jeff (Bridget) Tomko, Laurel Wentz, Jason (Lauren) Tomko and Christopher Buchleitner; great grandmother of Liam Tomko, Tessa Tomko, Breese Tomko and Archer Tomko; sister of Alice (late Robert) Sylvis of Lancaster, PA.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, from 4-8 p.m., at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Jim Condron, officiating. Entombment will follow in the Benediction Mausoleum in Jefferson Memorial Park.
