Joan C. Shedlock

Joan C. Shedlock, age 84, of Brentwood, formerly of West Mifflin, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at Southwestern Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Born in McKeesport on December 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Ganle) Nemes. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and watching “Family Feud.” Joan was the wife of the late Edward J. Shedlock; mother of Paul E. Shedlock of West Mifflin and Jennifer Haskins of West Mifflin; sister of the late June (late Charles “Bud”) Dudgeon and the late Robert (late Margaret) Nemes. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 20, 2023, from 4-8 p.m., at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, with Deacon Ron Demblowski, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Elias Cemetery, West Mifflin.
