Mardelle A. Charak, age 79, of West Mifflin, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at home, in the presence of her family. Born in McKeesport on February 27, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emily (Majercik) Nuzum. She was a member of St. Joseph Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, enjoyed crocheting, building puzzles and her favorite hobbies were shopping at thrift stores and scratch offs. She was the wife of the late John P. (Spider) Charak Jr., who died on July 18, 2001. Mardelle is the mother of Marcy Seeman of Munhall, Michelle Charak of West Mifflin, and Melanie (David) Baker of West Mifflin; and grandmother of Megan (fiancé Nick Bobuk), Courtney, Alyssa & Russell. She is also survived by fur babies, Chloe, Ralphie, Ruby and Belle. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 2-8 p.m., at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where a Blessing Service will take place at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, February 17, 2024, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, with Rev. Thomas Lewandowski, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin, where she will be buried next to her late husband.
