Mary Ann Michaels

Mary Ann Michaels, age 80, of Whitehall, formerly of Duquesne, passed away on August 5, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital.  Daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Slivochka) Sabol, she was born on November 20, 1940. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Name Church. Her family was always first. She enjoyed vacationing with her family at Virginia Beach, walking and reading, especially crime scene books. She and her husband took ballroom dancing lessons at the Knights of Columbus and she volunteered at Duquesne Catholic School and Holy Name Church when her children were students. Mary Ann was the beloved wife of 61 years to the late Dr. Joseph E. Michaels, who died on April 2, 2021. She was the mother of Brian Michaels of Washington, PA, Tyrone (Sara) Michaels of Baldwin, Allison (Jamie) Parker of Charlotte, NC, and Joseph (Heather) Michaels of Munhall; grandmother of Jaclyn McIntyre, Madeline, Ashley, Joey Jr., Noel, Starr, Barron and Xander Michaels, Tanner, Connor and Matthew Parker, Presley and Aria Michaels, Brendon and Bailee Gazdag and Raina McIntosh; sister of Michael (Annie) Sabol of Bakersfield, CA and the late Magdalene Sabol. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER-SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER-FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where a blessing service will take place at 8:00 p.m. with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating. Burial will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. EVERYONE SHOULD MEET AT THE CEMETERY.
