Mary Ellen Binkney

Mary Ellen Binkney, age 79, of West Mifflin, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Born in McKeesport on July 27, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Mary (Vojutasak) Baker. She was a retired registered nurse from UPMC Braddock, a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Trinity Church, enjoyed traveling and going on vacation, enjoyed her martini, and was licensed 50 years as a nurse. Her grandchildren were her life. Mary Ellen is the wife of the late John W. Binkney Jr., who passed away in 2015; mother of Lisa (Daryl) Miller of Venetia and Mark Binkney of West Mifflin; grandmother of Austin Miller and Alena Miller; and sister of Dennis (Pat) Baker of West Mifflin, Joseph Baker of Coulter, and the late Eugene Baker. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR. A Blessing Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at Holy Trinity Church-West Mifflin, at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Larry Adams, officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery-West Mifflin.
