Peter A. Ivaska Sr.

Peter A. Ivaska Sr., age 58, of West Mifflin, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, in UPMC McKeesport. Born in McKeesport on March 20, 1963, he was the son of the late Joseph and late Jean Marie (Brenner) Ivaska. He was a retired machine operator. He was Presbyterian by faith and he enjoyed Nascar, fishing, being outdoors and all sports. He was a member of the Army National Guard for 13 years. Peter is the beloved husband for 25 years to Lori (Pesta) Ivaska; father of Peter A. (Lisa) Ivaska Jr. of Conway, SC, Joseph (Roxanne) Ivaska of Dravosburg, and Anthony Ivaska, at home; 6 Grandchildren; brother of Paul Ivaska of Knoxville, TN, Lynn (Tom) Kostelnik of West Mifflin, Cindy Ivaska of McKeesport, and Geraldine Ivaska of West Mifflin; son-in-law of Michael and Sandy Pesta of Pleasant Hills. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 12 Noon-4:00 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR. Military Honors will be accorded at the Funeral Home at the end of visitation. A Memorial Service will be held in the future.
