Roy D. Meyer Sr., age 77, of West Mifflin, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at home. Born in Homestead on April 17, 1945, he was the son of the late Nevin Meyer Sr. and the late Gloria (Fricke) Nodd. Roy was a retired carpenter having worked at various construction companies in Pittsburgh and Richmond, VA. He was a former member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church in McKeesport and the First Presbyterian Church in Duquesne, where he was an elder. He also attended culinary school, was a humanitarian, had a tremendous sense of humor, was always very funny, was a master joke teller and had thousands of jokes. He loved to dance with his wife, enjoyed traveling, fishing, throwing darts, ice and roller skating. A friend to all, he was a member of the Dravosburg American Legion, American Croatian Club in Duquesne, the Prince Humbert Club and was an honor graduate of Schwaub Technical School. Roy is the loving and devoted husband, for 33 years, of Donna (Scerba) Meyer and was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. There will be no services or visitation.
