Vincent J. "Vinni" Betters

Vincent J. “Vinni” Betters, age 65, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Duquesne, passed away on February 18, 2021, at home. Born in McKeesport on June 28, 1955, he was the son of the late Richard and Delores (Jumback) Betters. Vinni was a retired mail carrier in McKeesport, a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Name Church, an avid motorcyclist and liked old movies and reading books. He proudly served his country in the Navy. He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Juanita (Matuschek) Betters; father of Sally Betters of Manor, PA and Lacy Betters of North Huntingdon; grandfather of Vinni Kinzel; brother of Richard (Linda) Betters of Munhall; uncle of Richard Betters and Jill (Dan Mulhern) Betters. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 from Noon-8 p.m. at the MALOY-SCHELIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER-SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER-FUNERAL DIRECTOR, where a blessing will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Name Church, Duquesne with the Rev. Michael Conway officiating. Military Honors will be presented in Church following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the Funeral Home for New Story School, Monroeville, PA on behalf of Vinni’s grandson. All PA Covid-19 precautions will be in place at the Funeral Home and masks MUST be worn.
