William B. Schleifer graduated from St. Thomas District High School, Braddock, in 1968; Community College of Allegheny County, Boyce Campus, in 1970; and graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1971.  Bill was honored at the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Convention in 1998 as a 25-year license.  He also attends numerous seminars, workshops, and talks as part of his continuing education credits.

Bill is a very active member in his community with his participation in the following organizations:

Bill or "Billy" was raised in Duquesne and spent his childhood residing above the funeral home with his parents and sisters.  He attended Duquesne Catholic School.  He graduated from Serra Catholic High School, McKeesport in 2000, Penn State, McKeesport Campus in 2002 and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2005.

After serving a dual internship at the Maloy-Schleifer Funeral Home, Duquesne and the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home in Madison he joined his father full time as a third generation funeral director.  Bill is a proctor/instructor for student embalming at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and assists multiple funeral homes throughout the greater Pittsburgh and surrounding areas as a highly respected and recognized trade embalmer and certified crematory operator.  

He holds professional memberships in the National Funeral Directors Association, the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, Westmoreland County Funeral Directors Association and the Steel City Funeral Directors Association.  He is a former board member of the Allegheny County Funeral Directors Association.  Bill is a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, life member of the Duquesne Fire Department, as well as a member of the GBU and Croation clubs of Duquesne.

An avid automobile and model train collector, Bill resides in North Huntingdon Township with his wife Amy and his two daughters Autumn and Savannah.

Allan is a lifelong resident of the Duquesne West Mifflin area. He graduated from Duquesne High School in 1979, the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1981 and Carlow College in 1992 with a Health Science degree.

He served his Funeral Director apprenticeship at the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home in Charleroi, PA where he also served Washington County as a Deputy Coroner.

In 1988 he joined UPMC’s Anatomic Pathology Department specializing in Surgical and Autopsy Pathology. He represented UPMC at the National Forum on AIDS and HIV in 1989. In 2000, Allan joined the Monongalia Health System in Morgantown, where he attained Fellowship in the American Association of Pathologists Assistants. Then in 2005 he was among the first group of Pathologists Assistants to achieve certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathology. At the beginning of 2017, Allan joined Allegheny Health Network Jefferson Regional Hospital as their first ASCP certified Pathologists Assistant.

Throughout his career, Allan served the hospitals with skilled surgical and autopsy dissection. He has participated in research projects involving HIV/AIDS, development of the left ventricular assist device, Alzheimer’s disease, ALS and transplantation medicine. He has been recognized for his work in the recovery efforts of both flights US AIR 427 in Hopewell and United flight 93 in Shanksville (following the 9/11 attacks). He is a member of the 9/11 Memorial in New York City.

Allan has worked part time for the Schleifer family for several years before joining the firm full time following his retirement from AHN Jefferson in 2023.

He is a member the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association as well as the GBU and Croatian Clubs of Duquesne. He resides in West Mifflin with his wife, the former Karen Perkins of Irwin, PA and their two dogs, Sophie and Sadie.

Funeral Director, Preplanning Consultant

Mark is a graduate of Penn Hills High School, Robert Morris College and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He has been a Licensed Funeral Director since 1992 and is a certified preplanning consultant (of which there are only 800 nationwide). He also served as a volunteer for US AIR Flight #427.
