Jay P. Bailey, 42, of West Mifflin, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born May 1, 1974, in McKeesport, a son of John Bailey, of Duquesne, and the late Patricia (Vavra) Bailey. Jay was employed as a welder for Tygart Steel - Glosser Corp., in Christy Park. He enjoyed cars, bicycles, skate boarding, reading and remote control cars. He graduated from Duquesne High School in 1992. Besides his father, he is survived by his wife Maria (Bruno) Bailey; children, Riana Bailey and Kailyn Bailey, at home; and brothers, John (Jodi) Bailey, of Brandon, Fla., and Edward (Sandy) Bailey, of West Mifflin.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016 at MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300. There will be no formal funeral services, but words of comfort will be shared at 8 p.m. after visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for his children's future education.
