Robert C. "Bob" Long, 67, of West Mifflin, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, with his family at his side in UPMC McKeesport. Born April 18, 1948, in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Eugene and Mildred (Harr) Long. Bob was a retired truck driver from Duquesne University and Long's Hauling Co. Bob attended St. Joseph Church, Duquesne. He was a member of the Teutonia Mannerchor Club, Duquesne, the Duquesne-West Mifflin Knights of Columbus Council No. 4210 and the Croatian Club, Versailles. He proudly served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, the daily stock market and spending his time at camp in Erie. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Renee (Yankaitis) Long. He was the father of Tamara Long, of Munhall, and Natalie Long, of West Mifflin; grandfather of Julian Long; brother of Patricia (Pete) Piper, of Latrobe, Francis "Putt" (Barbara "Penny") Long, of Level Green, Evan (Rhonda) Long, of North Huntingdon, and Daniel (Lori) Long, of Gibsonia.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating, followed by military honors.
