Andrew Husar, 90, formerly of Duquesne, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at Southwestern Assisted Care, West Mifflin. He was born May 25, 1925, in Duquesne, a son of the late John and Katherina (Pavlovik) Husar. He was retired from U.S. Steel Duquesne Works, blast furnace maintenance. He was an operator of the oxygen plant. He was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne, and was the oldest member of the Prince Humbert Club, a member for more than 50 years. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II on the USS Lexington. He was the husband of the late Flora (Renon) Husar; father of Andrea (Merle) Stein, of Birmingham, Ala., Mary Ann (Ed) Kachur, of Indiana, Pa., and Kathryn "Kathy" (Bill) Vukovich, of Orchard Park, N.Y.; grandfather of eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and brother of Michael Husar, of Port Vue, the late John Husar, the late George Husar and the late Joseph Husar. 
Visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. Blessing service at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, in the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Church of Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne. Interment with military honors in Holy Name Cemetery, West Mifflin.
